Dr. Miller attended UC Santa Barbara where she graduated with Honors. She received her doctorate degree from Southern California College of Optometry where she graduated summa cum laude. While attending SCCO, Dr. Miller received scholarships for excellence in Ocular Pharmacology, Student Leadership, Academics, and Commitment to the Profession. She also received awards for her Hispanic heritage and excellence in serving the Hispanic community. Dr. Miller completed a Cornea and Contact Lens residency at the Southern California College of Optometry where she received advanced training fitting specialty contact lenses for patients unable to see clearly with standard glasses or contact lenses. She has extensive experience providing advanced contact lens care for patients with keratoconus, post-surgical corneas, ocular prosthetics, and dry eyes. She also fits patients in contact lenses for astigmatism, multifocal contacts, and orthokeratology for myopia control in children.
Dr. Miller has participated in scleral contact lens research investigating tear exchange and written publications for Contact Lens Spectrum and the AOA Cornea and Contact Lens Section Newsletter. She has also lectured for local optometric societies and continuing education courses on specialty contact lenses.
