SPEAKER: Chantal Boisvert M.D.
TOPIC: optic neuritis
CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT: 2.0 HOURS
Dr. Chantal Boisvert is a board-certified UC Irvine Health ophthalmologist who specializes in neuro-ophthalmology and pediatric ophthalmology. Her clinical interests include pediatric and adult neuro-ophthalmology and strabismus, or misalignment of the eyes.
Boisvert earned a medical degree at Laval University School of Medicine in Quebec City, Canada. She also holds a doctor of optometry degree from the University of Montreal’s School of Optometry in Montreal, Canada. She went on to complete a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Montreal, followed by a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at UC San Diego’s Shiley Eye Center.
After serving as an assistant professor at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine and director of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center in Albuquerque, she completed a second fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the Keck School of Medicine at USC/Doheny Eye Institute. Before joining UC Irvine Health and the UC Irvine School of Medicine, she was an ophthalmologist at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.
Boisvert, who is actively involved in clinical trials in neuro-ophthalmology and pediatric ophthalmology, sees patients at Gavin Herbert Eye Institute in Irvine and at UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange.
